Garmin (NYSE: GRMN) has announced the Enduro 4, a solar-charging GPS smartwatch priced at $899.99, according to a company press release.
The watch features a 1.4-inch MIP display with a solar lens, offering up to 320 hours of battery life in activity mode or up to 90 days in smartwatch mode. It weighs 66 grams and includes a 51mm case with a titanium bezel, Power Sapphire scratch-resistant lens and a fiber-reinforced polymer case. The device carries a 10 ATM water resistance rating and includes an integrated LED flashlight with white and red-light options.
New features added to the Enduro line include comprehensive power modes, grade-adjusted pace-based workout targets, grade-adjusted rolling pace, stamina zones and stamina curve metrics. The watch also introduces Garmin Epic, a feature that allows users to combine multiple activities into a single log in Garmin Connect, with options to add photos and share data over days, weeks or months.
Garmin says the Enduro 4 has 50% more RAM than the Enduro 3 and a updated map engine, resulting in 30% faster map panning. The device includes 64 GB of onboard storage and supports more than 100 activity profiles. A new ComfortFit Fabric Band with QuickFit functionality is also included.
Additional features include enhanced rowing tools with VO2 max and power curve data for indoor rowing, expanded rucking capabilities, and a perspective map view for terrain anticipation.
Susan Lyman, Garmin Vice President of Consumer Sales and Marketing, said the watch is "designed for athletes and adventurers who want gear they can trust to perform through every mile, every climb and every challenge."
The Enduro 4 is available now.
