Kyndryl (NYSE: KD) and WPP announced an expanded partnership covering enterprise technology transformation, a global marketing agreement, and joint go-to-market initiatives, according to a press release issued Oct. 6, 2026.
Under the agreement, WPP will deploy Kyndryl's Agentic AI Framework across its operations to modernize its application estate, consolidate workplace, cloud, infrastructure and enterprise services under a common automated operating model, and retire legacy applications. WPP said it expects to realize cost savings and efficiencies over time, with a portion of those savings reinvested into further IT simplification projects. The work is intended to support WPP's Elevate28 strategy, which targets a simpler, more integrated technology environment.
Kyndryl has named WPP as its preferred global marketing partner, expanding a prior relationship that covered media, brand and creative strategy. The expanded scope includes digital, experiential and integrated marketing capabilities, as well as an AI-powered Marketing Operating System built on WPP Open, WPP's agentic marketing platform.
Kyndryl Consult and WPP Enterprise Solutions, formerly VML Enterprise Solutions, will also continue joint go-to-market efforts that were first announced in 2025, focusing on client modernization and core business transformation.
"This partnership redefines the traditional customer-supplier relationship," said Dominic Shine, Chief Information Officer at WPP. "Together, we are investing in each other's success, creating a relationship built on shared outcomes, trust and long-term value creation."
"By combining enterprise modernization, AI-enabled operations and customer growth capabilities, we are creating a blueprint that helps WPP transform and innovate faster to drive meaningful outcomes," said Jonathan Ingram, President of Kyndryl UKI.
