Cognizant (NASDAQ: CTSH) announced the launch of Cognizant Activate, a new business unit aimed at companies generating between $1 billion and $5 billion in annual revenue, according to a company press release dated Oct. 5, 2026.
The unit is designed to deliver AI, cybersecurity, cloud modernization, enterprise applications and managed services to what Cognizant calls "emerging enterprises." It will operate with vertically integrated teams and a single engagement lead overseeing each client relationship from initial contact through delivery.
Cognizant Activate will initially focus on four sectors: financial services, healthcare, manufacturing and retail/consumer packaged goods. The unit will offer pre-configured solution kits and draw on Cognizant's existing ecosystem partnerships.
"Cognizant Activate brings the same AI Builder capability that is helping to transform some of the world's largest enterprises to emerging enterprises, right-sized for their speed and scale," said Ravi Kumar S, Chief Executive Officer of Cognizant.
Mohammad Haque, Global Head of Intelligent Enterprise Platforms and Large Deals at Cognizant, said the unit gives clients "access to our global delivery network, platform certifications and decades of industry expertise, delivered through a model built specifically for their speed and ambition."
