Corteva, Inc. (NYSE: CTVA) announced it has completed the spin-off of its seed and genetics business, transitioning to a pure-play global crop protection company as of Oct. 1, 2026.
The company stated it has a pipeline valued at $11 billion in crop protection, with plans to launch 12 new active ingredients over the next decade, including five biologicals. Corteva's nearly 9,000 employees serve growers in approximately 110 countries.
Between 2020 and 2025, Corteva's crop protection segment increased revenue by more than $1 billion while expanding operating EBITDA margins by approximately 250 basis points. The company said differentiated technologies now represent approximately 65% of its sales.
"This is a new day for Corteva, and we couldn't be more excited as we move forward with greater focus, agility and a renewed commitment to innovation and operational excellence," said CEO Luke Kissam.
The spun-off seed business was not named in the announcement, though the company's forward-looking disclosures reference it as "Vylor."
