RadNet, Inc. (NASDAQ: RDNT) announced a collaboration with WIN-NextGen, a nonprofit workforce development organization, to introduce students and young adults to careers in medical imaging, according to a company press release.
The program targets students aged 12 to 17 in Maryland, Washington, D.C., and parts of Virginia, as well as young adults aged 18 to 24. Participants will have access to WIN-NextGen's digital workforce platform, which includes learning modules, career exploration tools, mentorship opportunities, and shadowing experiences at RadNet imaging centers.
In the program's initial phase, participants who complete learning modules can earn rewards including merchandise, iPads, invitations to RadNet events, and mentorship sessions with radiologic technologists. The collaboration is expected to expand over time to include internship and scholarship opportunities.
A launch event is planned for October 24, 2026, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. ET at RadNet's Advanced Radiology Timonium Crossings Imaging Center in Timonium, Maryland, where students and families will tour the facility and participate in educational activities.
"Our collaboration with WIN-NextGen is an investment in the future of radiology and the patients who depend on it," said Steve Forthuber, President and Chief Executive Officer of RadNet Eastern Operations.
RadNet operates a network of outpatient imaging centers across multiple U.S. states and employs more than 11,000 team members. WIN-NextGen is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on career development across STEM, supply chain, and skilled trades sectors.
