Allarity Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: ALLR) provided an update on its Drug Response Predictor (DRPĀ®) technology, reporting recent patent awards and the CLIA certification of its in-house laboratory as part of its clinical development strategy for stenoparib, according to a company statement dated September 30, 2026.
The stenoparib-DRPĀ® test is based on a 414-gene expression signature that includes genes associated with WNT pathway activity. At the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) 2026 conference, Allarity presented an exploratory analysis showing that higher pretreatment DRP scores were associated with longer overall survival in a prior Phase 2 cohort of patients with advanced ovarian cancer treated with twice-daily stenoparib.
The company said the newly awarded patents, combined with its CLIA-certified laboratory, allow it to develop the DRP test as a companion diagnostic and retain sole control of that clinical test. Allarity stated the developments extend the commercial viability of both stenoparib and the stenoparib-DRP test.
Allarity plans to use DRP to inform patient selection for a potential pivotal trial aimed at FDA approval of stenoparib. Chief Executive Officer Thomas Jensen said the association between higher DRP scores and longer overall survival "helps inform our clinical development strategy as we work toward FDA approval."
Stenoparib is an oral dual inhibitor of PARP1/2 and tankyrase 1/2 being evaluated in advanced ovarian cancer, among other tumor types. A Phase 2 trial focused on platinum-resistant ovarian cancer began enrolling patients in summer 2025, and a separate Phase 2 trial combining stenoparib with temozolomide for relapsed small cell lung cancer began enrolling in early 2026 at multiple U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs sites.
Allarity holds exclusive global rights to develop and commercialize stenoparib, which was originally developed by Eisai Co., Ltd.
