Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) has appointed Amar Lalvani as its first-ever Chief Creative Officer, adding the role to his existing position as President and Creative Director of the company's Lifestyle Group, effective immediately.
Lalvani will continue to report to Mark Hoplamazian, Hyatt's Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, and remain on the company's senior leadership team.
In the expanded role, Lalvani will work across Hyatt's global portfolio on brand identity, design, experience and culture, collaborating with hotel owners and internal creative teams.
Lalvani joined Hyatt in 2024 following the company's acquisition of Standard International. He brought with him the team behind The Standard and Bunkhouse Hotels, which formed the foundation of Hyatt's Lifestyle Group, headquartered in New York City.
Over more than 25 years in the hospitality industry, Lalvani previously led global development for W Hotels before acquiring The Standard brand and forming Standard International, where he expanded the portfolio and created concepts including The StandardX and The Manner.
"Amar has a rare ability to uncover what is distinctive, understand what matters to people and turn those insights into experiences and brands that resonate," Hoplamazian said in the statement.
As of June 30, 2026, Hyatt's portfolio included more than 1,500 hotels and all-inclusive properties across 83 countries.
