ANI Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq: ANIP) announced it will present clinical trial data on its Fluocinolone Acetonide Intravitreal Implant at the American Academy of Ophthalmology 2026 Annual Meeting in New Orleans.
Data from the Phase 4 SYNCHRONICITY trial, which studied the implant in patients with chronic non-infectious uveitis affecting the posterior segment of the eye, will be delivered in a late-breaking oral presentation during Uveitis Subspecialty Day on October 9, 2026. David Almeida, MD, PhD, MBA, President and CEO of Erie Retina Research and principal investigator in SYNCHRONICITY, will present the findings.
The SYNCHRONICITY results follow six-month topline data the company announced in July 2026.
A separate on-demand ePoster will feature post-hoc analyses from the Phase 4 NEW DAY trial, which examined the implant in patients with diabetic macular edema (DME). The ePoster will cover baseline characteristics and efficacy outcomes in rescued versus non-rescued patients. Christina Y. Weng, MD, MBA, a professor at Baylor College of Medicine, will present that data.
ANI Pharmaceuticals also said it plans an encore presentation of the SYNCHRONICITY results at the Hawaiian Eye & Retina 2027 Meeting on January 21, 2027.
The implant, marketed as Iluvien, is approved for the treatment of DME in patients previously treated with corticosteroids who did not have a clinically significant rise in intraocular pressure, and for chronic non-infectious uveitis affecting the posterior segment of the eye.
