Sun Life names Darko Mihelic as head of investor relations

Sun Life Financial Inc. (NYSE: SLF) announced the appointment of Darko Mihelic as Senior Vice-President, Head of Investor Relations, with a start date of Oct. 22, 2026. He will report to Tim Deacon, Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer.

Mihelic joins from RBC Capital Markets, where he served as Managing Director of Equity Research, covering Canada's banking and insurance sectors. He previously held equity research roles at Cormark Securities and CIBC Capital Markets.

In his new role, Mihelic will lead Sun Life's engagement strategy and relationships with institutional investors, analysts, and other external stakeholders.

He succeeds Natalie Brady, who was appointed Senior Vice-President, Head of Capital Management and Corporate Development at Sun Life earlier this year.
