Ainos delivers 1,400 AI Nose units to ASE under $2.1M contract
Ainos, Inc. (NASDAQ: AIMD) announced it has completed delivery of 1,400 AI Nose systems to ASE Technology Holding Co. under a $2.1 million, three-year agreement, according to a company statement.
The delivery covers AI Nose hardware and subscription-based services for ASE's semiconductor packaging and testing operations. Ainos previously disclosed receipt of approximately $350,000 in customer prepayments under the contract. The company said it expects the delivery to contribute to third-quarter 2026 revenue, though final amounts remain subject to quarter-end closing.
ASE's deployment of the first-phase systems across multiple locations, primarily in advanced packaging processes, has prompted discussions for a larger second-phase deployment. Ainos said negotiations for a separate agreement covering that phase are currently underway, based on an existing memorandum of understanding between the two companies.
"Completing delivery of 1,400 AI Nose systems to ASE is a major step in bringing Chemical Intelligence into semiconductor production," said Eddy Tsai, Chairman, President and CEO of Ainos. "This first-phase deployment has moved from contract to system delivery and revenue generation, while discussions are advancing toward a larger second-phase deployment."
The AI Nose technology converts airborne chemical signals into machine-readable data, which Ainos describes as a Chemical Perception Layer intended to complement optical inspection, particle monitoring and other existing semiconductor manufacturing tools. Ainos states its proprietary chemical dataset exceeds one billion records.
The ASE delivery follows Ainos' previously announced initial commercial orders in front-end semiconductor manufacturing.
