Parsons Corporation (NYSE: PSN) has been awarded an $85 million Other Transaction Authority agreement to serve as Owner's Advisor for the development of a new U.S. Space Command headquarters at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama, according to a company press release.

The agreement was issued by Army Contracting Command – Rock Island, in coordination with the Air Force Civil Engineering Center. The contract covers a 75-month performance period and involves a progressive design-build approach for the 950,000-square-foot campus, which is designed to support up to 1,800 personnel.

The facility will include a command-and-control center, a fusion center, a visitor control center, and supporting infrastructure intended to enable around-the-clock operations. Parsons will oversee project execution on behalf of the government, managing scope, cost, schedule, quality, and risk throughout planning, design, construction, and operationalization phases.

The press release describes the project as one of the Department of Defense's largest progressive design-build initiatives and among the Air Force's first uses of an Owner's Advisor delivery model.

"U.S. Space Command's mission demands infrastructure that is as resilient, secure, and operationally ready as the warfighters it supports," said Martin Boson, president of Engineered Systems for Parsons.

Parsons is headquartered in Chantilly, Virginia, and operates across national security and infrastructure markets.
