VIAVI Solutions Inc. (NASDAQ: VIAV) introduced the CyberFlood CF50, a 1U appliance designed for enterprise-scale application performance, security, AI inference and large-language model testing at speeds up to 100G, according to a company press release dated Sept. 29, 2026.
The CF50 is positioned as a portable, all-in-one platform combining Layer 4-7 traffic generation, security assessment and AI inference testing. The company claims the device offers the lowest power consumption in its category and TLS performance 1.75 times that of its nearest competitor, along with native post-quantum cryptography support.
The appliance includes a web-based interface that does not require a Microsoft Windows client. It supports automated goal-seeking, MITRE ATT&CK frameworks and repeatable traffic-mix testing.
"The CyberFlood CF50 combines realistic application traffic, security validation and AI inference testing in a highly portable platform, enabling customers to validate infrastructure at scale, accelerate deployment decisions and improve confidence in production readiness," said Sashi Jeyaretnam, Senior Director of Security Product Management at VIAVI.
The CF50 joins the existing CyberFlood CF1000, which VIAVI targets at large enterprises requiring higher performance levels. The company said the CF50 is aimed at network equipment manufacturers, systems integrators and service providers.
