Target Corporation (NYSE: TGT) is lowering prices on nearly 2,000 home and apparel items ahead of the holiday shopping season, the company announced Sept. 29, 2026. The reductions add to more than 10,000 price cuts Target has made over the past year.
Price reductions span women's, men's, and children's apparel and shoes, as well as a refreshed bedding assortment. Selected apparel items are priced 20% or more below last year's levels. Women's long-sleeve tees dropped to $12 from $15, and the average price of women's shoes fell to $35 from $40. Nearly 70% of new women's shoe styles are priced below last year's comparable items. The average price of kids' rain and winter boots is down approximately 15% from last year.
In the home category, bedding prices are 15% lower on average. Threshold queen comforters dropped to $69 from $89, Room Essentials queen comforters fell to $40 from $50, and Threshold performance queen sheets are now $50, down from $55.
"By continuing to lower prices across our assortment, we're making it even easier for busy families to create moments of joy this fall," said Cara Sylvester, executive vice president and chief merchandising officer at Target.
Target also noted that its Circle Deal Days promotional event is scheduled for Oct. 6–7, available to members of its free Target Circle loyalty program. The price reductions exclude Alaska and Hawaii, and availability may vary by location.
