Amcor (NYSE: AMCR) announced that Graeme Liebelt will retire from its board of directors at the company's annual stockholder meeting on Nov. 11, 2026, after nearly 13 years as chairman of Amcor plc and its predecessor company.
The board has elected Tom Long to succeed Liebelt as chairman. Long has served as an independent non-executive director since 2017 and previously held the role of chief executive officer at MillerCoors, LLC, and before that at Miller Brewing Company prior to its 2008 merger with Coors. He currently serves as chairman of the board of Wolverine Worldwide, Inc.
Amcor CEO Peter Konieczny thanked Liebelt for his service and said he looks forward to working with Long and the board going forward.
In a statement, Long said he is focused on overseeing execution following Amcor's acquisition of Berry Global, which was completed last year.
