Oracle integrates with Swift's blockchain ledger for tokenized deposits

September 28, 2026 8:02 AM EDT

Oracle (NYSE: ORCL) announced an integration with Swift's blockchain ledger designed to allow financial institutions to connect tokenized deposit infrastructures across institutions and link them with existing payment systems, according to a company press release issued at the Sibos conference in Miami, Florida.

The integration uses Oracle Blockchain Platform and Oracle Digital Assets Data Nexus to provide financial institutions with a foundation for tokenized deposit infrastructure. The solution is designed to host Swift commitment contracts and support event orchestration required for participating in Swift's ledger, while offering EVM-based enterprise blockchain, custodial wallet capabilities, and smart contract functionality.

Oracle Banking Payments connects these digital asset flows with existing ISO 20022 payment processing, enabling payment and tokenized deposit activity to operate within a single payment lifecycle.

"Our integration with Swift's ledger helps institutions bring tokenized deposits into cross-bank payment flows and manage traditional and tokenized payments through a unified operating model," said Jamie Bullard, vice president of application software engineering for payments and financial crime management at Oracle Financial Services.

The announcement builds on an existing collaboration between Oracle and Swift, including Oracle's Swift Compatible Application certification for payments, which was announced earlier in 2026. Sibos runs from Sept. 28 through Oct. 1, 2026.
