Allarity adds proteomics and cell line research to its laboratory

September 28, 2026 8:01 AM EDT

Allarity Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: ALLR) announced it has expanded its in-house medical laboratory to include proteomics and cell line research capabilities, according to a company statement.

The additions build on the laboratory's existing transcriptomics research and CLIA clinical testing services. The company said the expanded capabilities are intended to support internal research into the mechanism of action of its lead drug candidate, stenoparib, and to broaden laboratory services available to external partners.

Allarity's laboratory uses an nCounter Pro instrument for transcriptomics research. The company said the platform can now also be applied to proteomics research using the nCounter Human Tumor Signaling Protein Panel, which measures approximately 300 protein targets.

"By combining transcriptomics, proteomics and cell line research within our own laboratory infrastructure, we can generate a broader set of molecular insights to support our stenoparib development program," said Thomas Jensen, Chief Executive Officer of Allarity Therapeutics.

The company said the expanded laboratory capabilities are not expected to affect its current cash runway and may reduce costs by allowing more research activities to be conducted in-house.

Stenoparib is an oral dual inhibitor of PARP1/2 and tankyrase 1/2 being developed for patients with advanced ovarian cancer, among other cancer types. Allarity is currently enrolling patients in a Phase 2 trial focused on platinum-resistant ovarian cancer, and a separate Phase 2 trial evaluating stenoparib in combination with temozolomide for relapsed small cell lung cancer began enrolling in early 2026 at multiple U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs sites.
