DraftKings Inc. (NASDAQ: DKNG) has appointed Deloitte & Touche LLP as its independent registered public accounting firm for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2027, replacing BDO USA, P.C., according to a regulatory filing.
The company's Audit Committee dismissed BDO on September 23, 2026, following an evaluation process. BDO's dismissal will take effect after it completes the audit of DraftKings' financial statements for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2026, and after the company files its 2026 Annual Report on Form 10-K.
Deloitte's engagement letter was executed on September 25, 2026, following completion of its standard client acceptance procedures.
BDO's audit reports for fiscal years 2024 and 2025 contained no adverse opinions, disclaimers, or qualifications related to uncertainty, audit scope, or accounting principles. The filing also states there were no disagreements between DraftKings and BDO on accounting principles, financial statement disclosure, or auditing procedures during fiscal years 2024 and 2025, and through September 23, 2026. No reportable events were identified during that period.
DraftKings has requested that BDO submit a letter to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission confirming the accuracy of those statements. BDO's letter, dated September 25, 2026, was filed as an exhibit to the company's Current Report on Form 8-K.
