EPAM builds cloud infrastructure for EU's first equities tape

September 24, 2026 8:05 AM EDT

EPAM Systems, Inc. (NYSE: EPAM) announced its role as engineering and delivery partner for EuroCTP, the European Union's first mandated consolidated tape provider for shares and exchange-traded funds, according to a company press release.

EuroCTP went live on Sept. 14, 2026, with a mandate to aggregate pre- and post-trade data from approximately 130 trading and trade reporting venues across Europe into a single, regulated, real-time data stream. EuroCTP B.V. is a Dutch joint venture owned by 16 European exchange groups, with shareholders in all 27 EU member states, and operates under a five-year term governed by MiFIR under ESMA supervision.

EPAM co-architected and built the cloud-native portion of EuroCTP's hybrid infrastructure. Deliverables included a greenfield cloud-native architecture, a data and analytics layer using EPAM's TimeBase database, customer-facing portals, and a data access layer supporting real-time pre- and post-trade data via FIX standard protocols and web socket connections.

"Their team delivered the greenfield, cloud-native infrastructure behind the service, along with the low-latency and web APIs and portals our users access it through," said Timo Pentner, CTO at EuroCTP B.V.

Eglantine Desautel, CEO at EuroCTP, said EPAM's consistency "continues to be a real asset for us now that the platform is live."

European market data has historically been fragmented across dozens of countries, making access inconsistent and costly for investors. EuroCTP was selected by ESMA in December 2025 to address that fragmentation.
