Ducommun Incorporated (NYSE: DCO) hosted its first investor day event in nearly four years on Sept. 24, 2026, where Chairman, President, and CEO Stephen G. Oswald presented a new long-term strategic plan called Vision 2032 while providing an update on the company's current five-year plan, Vision 2027.
Oswald confirmed that Ducommun remains on track to meet or exceed all three core financial targets set under Vision 2027 in December 2022: revenue reaching approximately $950 million or more by 2027, adjusted EBITDA margins expanding to roughly 18%, and higher-margin engineered products reaching approximately 25% of total revenue. The company reported a total shareholder return of 245% since the end of 2022, with market capitalization rising from $605 million to $2.6 billion over the past four years. Average daily traded stock value increased from approximately $2 million to $49 million during the same period.
The newly announced Vision 2032 plan outlines several financial and strategic targets. Ducommun said it plans to increase its acquisition target range to between $300 million and $500 million, representing a 3-to-5 times increase over its previous range, while continuing to pursue smaller bolt-on acquisitions. The company also projects a mid-teens compound annual growth rate for its missile and radar defense franchise through 2032.
Ducommun said it intends to capture commercial aerospace volume recovery across major narrowbody platforms with minimal additional capital expenditure, and plans continued organic investment in proprietary technologies.
The company has made several acquisitions in recent years in areas including magnetic seals, ammunition handling systems, lightning protection, thermoplastic extrusions, and aerodynamic systems.
According to the press release, analysts from Citi said Ducommun "surpassed both our and consensus expectations," while Goldman Sachs noted the company has "unique positions on growth verticals" in aerospace and defense and stated it is "Buy rated on the stock."
