ACI Worldwide (NASDAQ: ACIW) announced that Solaris, a licensed German bank and embedded finance platform, has gone live on ACI Connetic, ACI's cloud-native payments platform, completing the first phase of Solaris' payments modernization initiative.
ACI Connetic combines payments processing, fraud prevention, payments intelligence and orchestration in a single cloud-native architecture. Solaris has consolidated its SEPA Instant payments infrastructure onto the platform as part of a long-term transformation strategy, with plans to expand its adoption of ACI Connetic going forward.
Solaris holds a full German banking license and provides accounts, cards, lending and payments services to fintechs, digital brands and multinationals. The company's majority shareholder is SBI Group, and Solaris has outlined plans to develop its platform into pan-European financial infrastructure.
The move comes as the EU Instant Payments Regulation requires payment service providers in the eurozone to receive instant credit transfers, offer them at no higher price than standard transfers, and verify payee names against accounts before transfers are authorized.
"Banks across Europe are rebuilding their payments around instant, and the ones moving fastest are making it a platform decision," said Thomas Warsop, president and CEO of ACI Worldwide. "Bringing SEPA Instant onto ACI Connetic gives Solaris that foundation for its next phase of growth."
Steffen Jentsch, CEO of Solaris, said the go-live represents "an important milestone in evolving our platform infrastructure," adding that ACI Connetic provides "the scalable, robust foundation we need to deploy AI-driven, highly resilient payment processes that meet the highest European regulatory standards."
ACI Worldwide, headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska, provides payments technology software to banks, billers and merchants.
