Virtuix adds partner for autism VR therapy pilot set for January 2027

September 23, 2026 9:17 AM EDT

Virtuix Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: VTIX) announced the addition of The LP Foundation as a partner in its autism therapy initiative, joining Rutgers University WINLAB and Sirica Therapeutics in a multi-site pilot program scheduled to begin in January 2027.

The pilot will deploy the company's Omni One platform — an AI-driven, full-body virtual reality system — across multiple care settings. Omni One units will be placed at The LP Foundation's new enrichment center in New Jersey, alongside systems already installed at Sirica Therapeutics' therapy center in the San Francisco Bay Area.

The January pilot is planned to include five interactive virtual environments designed to help children practice everyday life skills, such as crossing a street using traffic signals, navigating a supermarket aisle, and finding an empty seat. Rutgers University WINLAB has completed the first phase of content development, establishing a foundational framework for the program.

"We are excited to move this initiative from research and development into real-world pilot programs with children," said Jan Goetgeluk, founder, chairman and CEO of Virtuix. "If the pilot demonstrates clinical utility, we believe autism therapy could become a meaningful healthcare application for the Omni One platform."

Virtuix noted there are approximately 12,000 Applied Behavior Analysis therapy providers across the United States, which the company views as a potential distribution channel if the pilot and subsequent development show clinical utility. Sirica Therapeutics has announced plans to establish approximately 100 autism treatment centers nationwide.

The autism initiative is part of a broader healthcare push by Virtuix. The company has sold Omni One systems to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for deployment at a medical center in Detroit, Michigan, for potential applications including PTSD and occupational therapy. Virtuix is also working with Florida Gulf Coast University's Marieb College of Health & Human Services to evaluate the platform for cognitive, neurological, and stroke rehabilitation applications.
