Corcept Therapeutics (NASDAQ: CORT) announced that Sean Maduck, president of its Endocrinology division, will retire, with Justin Gunn set to succeed him starting Oct. 1.
Gunn will join the company's Executive Team and report to Chief Executive Officer Joseph K. Belanoff, M.D. Maduck will remain with the company as a senior commercial advisor to assist with the transition.
Gunn joined Corcept in July 2024 as Vice President of Sales and Commercial Learning for its Oncology division, where he built a field sales and training organization to support the launch of Lifyorli, the company's treatment for platinum-resistant ovarian cancer. Before joining Corcept, Gunn spent nearly 18 years at Gilead Sciences leading commercial sales teams across cardiovascular, respiratory, oncology, and virology categories. He also held marketing and sales roles at Merck and Sepracor. Gunn holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Arkansas.
"In the two years since he joined Corcept, Justin has proven himself to be an outstanding commercial leader," Belanoff said in a statement based on the press release.
