Paychex (Nasdaq: PAYX) introduced WISE Hire, an AI-native recruiting solution, on Sept. 23, 2026, according to a company statement. The tool is designed to help businesses source, screen, and hire candidates, with the company claiming it can reduce hiring time by four times on average.
WISE Hire is available as a standalone product or integrated within Paychex's human capital management platforms, including SurePayroll, Paychex Flex, and Paycor. The solution operates through WISE, Paychex's existing AI engine, and uses AI agents to automate recruiting workflows such as candidate sourcing, screening, scheduling, and coordination.
The product incorporates patented candidate-matching technology and connects to candidate sourcing channels including Google for Jobs, Meta's local jobs marketplace, and ChatGPT. A network of hiring coaches is also part of the offering. Paychex states that human oversight and employer decision-making authority are maintained throughout the hiring process.
"WISE Hire expands on our existing capabilities, empowering businesses to fill positions faster by automating routine hiring tasks while keeping people at the center of every hiring decision," said Ryan Bergstrom, Chief Product and Technology Officer at Paychex.
Paychex cited its own research indicating that business leaders spend more than one-third of their time on administrative hiring tasks. The company serves approximately 840,000 customers and reports paying 1 in 11 U.S. private sector workers.
Paychex plans to showcase WISE Hire at the HR Technology Conference & Expo at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Oct. 20-22, 2026.
