NIQ launches TDLinx Audiences for retailer proximity ad targeting

September 23, 2026 6:30 AM EDT

NIQ (NYSE: NIQ) announced the launch of TDLinx Audiences, a suite of audience segments that enables marketers to target consumers based on their proximity to specific retailers, retail banners, and retail channels.

The product is now available through The Trade Desk in the United States. NIQ said it offers more than 270 syndicated TDLinx Audience segments spanning more than a dozen retail channels and thousands of verified locations of national, regional, and specialty retailers. Custom segments can be developed on request.

According to the company, TDLinx Audiences are built from NIQ's retail location intelligence database and are intended to support shopper marketing initiatives, competitive audience targeting, and channel-specific growth strategies.

"Ultimately, every campaign is judged by its ability to drive sales where products are sold," said Maureen Stapleton, Global Commercial Lead of NIQ's Media division. "Without visibility into retailer proximity, marketers are missing a critical signal that influences purchase behavior."

NIQ said TDLinx Audiences are designed to complement its existing GeoPurchase Audiences product, which identifies ZIP codes with category demand or competitive opportunity. The company describes the two products as serving distinct functions: GeoPurchase Audiences identify where consumer demand exists, while TDLinx Audiences target consumers near specific retail locations.
