Curtiss-Wright Corporation (NYSE: CW) announced that its board of directors has elected Kevin M. Rayment, currently Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, to become President and Chief Executive Officer effective January 1, 2027.
Rayment will succeed Lynn M. Bamford, who has served as CEO for six years and will transition to the role of Executive Chair. Rayment will also join Curtiss-Wright's board at the time of the transition.
Bamford has been with the company for 22 years. During her tenure as CEO, the company returned $1.7 billion to shareholders through share repurchases and dividends and completed several acquisitions. The company reported record results in sales, profitability, new orders, backlog, and free cash flow under her leadership.
Rayment has 35 years of experience in the aerospace and defense, commercial nuclear, and industrial markets. He joined Curtiss-Wright in 2004 and has held several senior leadership roles. He has served as Chief Operating Officer since 2021. Prior to that role, he served as President of the company's former Commercial/Industrial Segment.
"I am humbled by the opportunity to lead this great company and build on Lynn's legacy as we expand our leadership positions across our markets," Rayment said in the statement.
Rayment holds a bachelor's degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Portsmouth University and a Master of Business Administration from Bournemouth University.
