Swvl Holdings Corp (Nasdaq: SWVL) announced the launch of a round-the-clock shuttle service connecting seven hotels in Madinah, Saudi Arabia, to Al-Masjid an-Nabawi and other sites in the city, marking the company's entry into the Madinah market.
Under an agreement with an unnamed client, Swvl will operate a dedicated shuttle network using its platform for fixed route planning, real-time dispatching, and operational optimization. The service is designed to provide hotel guests with continuous access to religious and cultural sites at any hour.
According to the Madinah Chamber of Commerce, the city received more than 10 million visitors in 2025. Swvl cited year-round demand from hotel operators as a driver for the deployment.
"Madinah is one of the highest-demand mobility markets in the KSA, and we believe that this launch reflects the breadth of demand for technology-enabled transportation across essential, non-corporate sectors," said Mostafa Kandil, Chief Executive Officer of Swvl.
The Madinah launch follows a series of contract wins in Saudi Arabia, including an expansion into the banking sector with Bank Albilad, announced in July 2026. Swvl operates across Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
