PPG promotes Alex Lopez to VP of investor relations and finance

PPG (NYSE: PPG) announced the promotion of Alex Lopez to vice president, investor relations and operational finance, effective Oct. 1, according to a company press release.

Lopez, who has served as PPG director of investor relations, will continue to lead investor relations while taking on responsibility for enterprise operational finance, including capital discipline, productivity governance and operational finance effectiveness. He will continue to report to Jamie Beggs, PPG senior vice president and chief financial officer.

Lopez has held finance roles at PPG for 20 years. Before moving into investor relations in 2024, he served as global finance director for Automotive OEM Coatings. In 2017, he relocated to Mexico City as finance director for Architectural Coatings, Latin America. He also previously served as business controller for Automotive OEM Coatings and Industrial Coatings, and as global financial planning and analysis manager for Automotive OEM Coatings.

Before joining PPG, Lopez held financial planning and liaison roles at GE Appliances and its joint venture Mabe. He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro and an MBA from Michigan State University's Eli Broad College of Business.
