Globalstar (NASDAQ: GSAT) has completed construction of an expanded ground station in Nemea, Greece, with commissioning of the new infrastructure now underway, according to a company statement.
Construction at the Nemea site began in September 2025 and added three six-meter tracking antennas to the three already in place, doubling the ground station's infrastructure at the teleport.
The expansion is part of Globalstar's broader global infrastructure program to support its third-generation C-3 mobile satellite system. That program includes approximately 90 new tracking antennas across approximately 35 ground stations in 25 countries and territories.
L Barbee Ponder, General Counsel and Vice President of Regulatory Affairs for Globalstar, said the completion marks a shift "from construction to commissioning and operational readiness" for the company's C-3 infrastructure buildout.
Over the past year, Globalstar has announced C-3 ground infrastructure projects across the Americas, Europe, and Asia.
