Establishment Labs Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: ESTA) presented new clinical and scientific data on breast tissue preservation and its minimally invasive platform at the 11th World Symposium on Ergonomic Implants (WSEI) in Istanbul, Turkey.
The company also announced product line extensions for its Mia and Preservé devices, adding new sizes and supporting tools. The symposium drew more than 1,000 plastic surgeons from 57 countries and featured 127 scientific presentations and educational sessions.
Among the data presented were findings from a four-part, peer-reviewed supplement published in the Aesthetic Surgery Journal, authored by more than 25 contributors including plastic and reconstructive surgeons, anatomists, pathologists, and researchers. Presentations covered breast anatomy, tissue preservation techniques, and early- and mid-term clinical data on the minimally invasive platform, including a review of the first published U.S. multicenter clinical experience with Preservé.
"The success of our Minimally Invasive Platform has accelerated our plans to bring expanded sizes to market, enabling even more patients to consider a new approach to breast augmentation," said Peter Caldini, Chief Executive Officer of Establishment Labs.
Caldini cited data from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons indicating the augmentation market grew 11%.
Dr. Troy Pittman, a board-certified plastic surgeon and author of the supplement, said the publication "establishes that foundation and marks an important milestone in the evolution of breast augmentation."
