VinFast (NASDAQ: VFS) has opened sales of the 2027 model year VF 8 electric SUV in the U.S., with the vehicle available at authorized dealerships in Chicago, Orlando, and San Diego starting in September 2026.
The updated VF 8 is offered in two trims: ECO, starting at $40,400, and PLUS, starting at $45,600. VinFast is offering 0% APR financing for up to 84 months, along with flexible leasing options.
The 2027 model adds several Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features. These include Automatic Emergency Stop Assist, which decelerates and stops the vehicle if the driver becomes unresponsive; Rear Automatic Emergency Braking, which applies brakes when reversing toward obstacles or pedestrians; Intersection Assist, which provides warnings of collision risks at intersections; Auto Lane Changing Assist, which provides steering guidance for lane changes; and Evasive Steering Assist, which supplies steering torque to help avoid frontal obstacles when braking alone is insufficient.
VinFast also recently launched an Energy Cost Savings Calculator on its website, allowing prospective buyers to estimate operational cost differences compared to gasoline-powered vehicles based on personal driving habits and local energy rates.
