IWP Capital, LLC, a faith-based investment firm and co-filer of Proposal 6 in FedEx Corporation's (NYSE: FDX) 2026 proxy statement, announced it intends to vote in favor of the proposal at FedEx's annual meeting on September 28, 2026.
The proposal, titled "Report on Risks Related to Distributing Abortion Drugs," was filed by IWP Capital alongside the Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth. It asks FedEx's board to produce a report, within one year and at reasonable cost, detailing how it oversees the legal, regulatory, and reputational risks associated with transporting mail-order abortion drugs such as mifepristone. The proposal appears on page 104 of FedEx's proxy statement.
The proposal is described as precatory and procedural. It does not ask FedEx to cease shipping any lawful product or to inspect packages.
Sam Saladino, Chief Executive Officer of IWP Capital, said in a statement: "We are asking a board that emphasizes risk oversight to tell its owners how it is preparing for a criminal statute whose enforcement is genuinely unsettled. Legal uncertainty of this magnitude is itself a material risk. That is why we intend to vote for Proposal 6."
IWP Capital noted that reputational pressure on FedEx exists from multiple directions, including investors urging continued access to abortion drugs and faith-based coalitions opposed to their distribution.
IWP Capital clarified that its announcement is a public statement of voting intent made under Rule 14a-1(l)(2)(iv) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, and does not constitute a solicitation of proxy authority.
