Intapp launches Celeste plug-in for ChatGPT Enterprise for law firms

September 17, 2026 4:00 PM EDT

Intapp (NASDAQ: INTA) has launched a plug-in that connects its Celeste AI tool with OpenAI's ChatGPT Enterprise, allowing lawyers to access firm-specific data and workflows from within the ChatGPT Enterprise interface.

According to a company press release, the Celeste plug-in is designed to assist with business operations at law firms, including client onboarding, conflict checks, billing, and relationship sourcing. The plug-in applies a firm's existing access controls, including ethical walls and confidentiality rules, to determine what information each user can retrieve.

Intapp said the plug-in is available to eligible Celeste clients. The company stated that lawyers using ChatGPT Enterprise can capture billable work, check it against outside counsel guidelines, identify new client opportunities, and locate internal introductions to prospective clients — all within the boundaries set by the firm.

Thad Jampol, co-founder and chief product officer at Intapp, said in a statement: "Being available in ChatGPT Enterprise means that firms now run inside the models lawyers are already using."

Jason Boehmig, general manager of legal industry at OpenAI, said: "By building alongside Intapp, we're turning that expertise into AI lawyers can use every day, creating new ways for firms to serve their clients and shape the future of legal work."

Intapp describes its platform as focused on professional firms in regulated industries, including law, accounting, and investment banking.
