Calix expands AI workflow tools for service providers

September 17, 2026 3:34 PM EDT

Calix, Inc. (NYSE: CALX) announced an expansion of its Agent Workforce Cloud product, adding agentic AI workflows designed to help broadband service providers manage marketing, customer support, and network operations tasks.

The new capabilities, built on the company's Calix One platform, cover three areas. The first involves campaign creation and upsell recommendations, which are intended to help marketing and support teams identify potential buyers and deliver targeted offers. The company cited prior platform capabilities that it claims increased monthly recurring revenue by as much as 500% for some customers.

The second set of workflows addresses troubleshooting and issue resolution, combining subscriber and network data to guide support teams during service disruptions. Calix said earlier platform tools reduced inbound support calls by up to 88% in some cases.

The third area covers network detection and remediation, allowing operations teams to identify and address emerging network issues. The company said related prior capabilities reduced mean time to repair by up to 75% in certain deployments.

A fourth capability, enabling subscriber self-service through the CommandIQ mobile app, is described as coming soon. It would allow subscribers to identify and resolve service issues through a guided in-app experience.

Brooks Goodall, chief operations officer at RTC Networks, said in a statement that the product "fits into the way our teams already work," with AI embedded into existing workflows rather than requiring entirely new processes.

Michael Weening, president and chief executive officer at Calix, said the company has spent three years developing its AI-native platform and that Agent Workforce Cloud offers pricing without token-based fees. "Anyone can build an agent, but achieving a sustainable ROI is a different story," Weening said.

According to the press release, the Calix One platform processes more than a petabyte of data daily and executes over 4.3 billion workflows annually. More than 1,200 customers use the platform, which the company says has received over $2 billion in cumulative investment over 15 years.
