Nuwellis, Inc. (Nasdaq: NUWE) reported that it has sold 31 Aquadex SmartFlow consoles year-to-date in 2026, a figure the company says already exceeds full-year console sales in seven of the past 10 years, according to a press release.
The Minneapolis-based medical technology company also reported 26% year-over-year U.S. revenue growth during the first half of 2026, with gains across its pediatric, critical-care, and heart-failure segments.
The Aquadex SmartFlow system consists of a console, catheter, and disposable blood circuit set used to deliver ultrafiltration therapy. Each console placement generates recurring revenue through the use of single-use blood circuits.
"Selling 31 consoles at this point in the year is an important indicator of the commercial progress we are making to expand our installed base of Aquadex systems," said Mike McCormick, Nuwellis President and Chief Executive Officer.
The company noted that its highest historical console-placement years included the COVID-19 period, when hospitals expanded access to fluid-removal technologies in response to elevated critical-care demand. Nuwellis stated that its 2026 performance is occurring in a normalized hospital environment.
