Datasea plans AI elderly care robot venture with Linghang Intelligent
Datasea Intelligent Technology Ltd. (NASDAQ: DTSS) announced plans to expand its cooperation with Nanjing Linghang Intelligent Aviation Technology Co., Ltd. to jointly develop AI-powered elderly care robot solutions and related digital service platforms targeting China's senior care market.
Under the proposed arrangement, Datasea plans to contribute AI agent capabilities, multimodal data processing, software development and data analytics, while Linghang Intelligent is expected to provide robot hardware, motion control, sensor integration, manufacturing and deployment capabilities. The parties plan to jointly develop products for home-based elderly care, community care, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers and other senior care settings.
According to China's National Bureau of Statistics, approximately 323.38 million people in China were aged 60 and above as of the end of 2025, representing about 23% of the total population. China's State Council has estimated the country's silver economy at approximately RMB7 trillion, with projections of growth to approximately RMB30 trillion by 2035.
Datasea Chief Executive Officer Zhixin Liu stated: "Through our cooperation with Linghang Intelligent, we intend to combine Datasea's AI agent and digital platform capabilities with our partner's robotics technologies and deployment experience. Our goal is not simply to develop another robot hardware product, but to explore an AI-powered elderly care platform that can continuously interact with users, collect and analyze data, execute service tasks and connect elderly users with broader care and healthcare resources."
The company said it views the cooperation as an entry point into both the elderly care robotics market and a broader digital services opportunity, potentially encompassing software subscriptions, AI agent services and data analytics alongside robot deployment.
The announcement is based on a press release issued by Datasea. No financial terms of the cooperation were disclosed, and the company noted that actual results may differ materially from forward-looking statements.
