September 16, 2026 7:01 AM EDT

OpenText Corporation (NASDAQ: OTEX) and Cohere announced a strategic partnership at the ALL IN AI conference in Montreal on Sept. 16, 2026, aimed at delivering agentic AI solutions to governments and regulated industries.

Under the agreement, OpenText will provide the data and context layer, giving AI agents access to enterprise data including unstructured, operational, and transactional information. Cohere will contribute its North agentic AI platform and enterprise AI models for orchestration and automation. The combined solution will support deployment on-premises, or in private, public, or sovereign cloud environments.

The partnership will include product development, integration of Cohere's platform and models into OpenText's Aviator AI agents, coordinated go-to-market activities, and a reseller arrangement through SOLEX. The integrated solution is expected to reach clients in early 2027.

OpenText CEO Ayman Antoun said in a statement: "OpenText brings the data and context layer, while Cohere brings the orchestration and models that turn that data into agentic AI that acts with purpose."

Cohere co-founder and CEO Aidan Gomez said the partnership gives organizations "a secure path to move agentic AI from pilot to production."

OpenText, founded in Canada in 1991, serves more than 120,000 enterprise clients in 180 countries, including clients within the world's top 20 federal governments. Cohere, founded in Toronto in 2019, has raised approximately $1.6 billion from investors including AMD Ventures, Salesforce Ventures, Oracle, and Cisco.
