Elastic (NYSE: ESTC) announced that its security product received a perfect protection score in AV-Comparatives' 2026 Endpoint Prevention and Response (EPR) Test, earning what the testing organization calls "Certified Leader" status, its highest distinction in the test.
According to the press release, Elastic was the only vendor among 14 tested to block all 50 attack scenarios at the first phase of compromise, with zero false positives. The company also recorded 100% Active and 100% Passive Response scores, and one of the lowest total cost of ownership figures among vendors in the test.
AV-Comparatives tested vendors against 50 multi-phase attack scenarios based on techniques from the MITRE ATT&CK framework, covering Initial Access, Execution, and Persistence tactics. Test scenarios included executables, scripts, Office add-ins, USB-propagated payloads, fileless execution techniques, and AI-assisted attack tool variations.
"The product prevented and detected every one of the tested attack scenarios already at the first stage of compromise with no operational accuracy costs and no workflow delays for the user," said Andreas Clementi, founder and CEO of AV-Comparatives.
This marks the second consecutive year Elastic has earned Certified Leader status in the EPR test. The company also claims to be the only vendor to achieve 100% malware protection across the last three AV-Comparatives Business Security Tests spanning 2025 and 2026, which included Microsoft and CrowdStrike among the vendors tested.
Elastic Defend, the company's endpoint protection product, supports Windows, macOS, and Linux across cloud, on-premise, hybrid, and air-gapped environments.
