Salesforce unveils AIforce interface layer at Dreamforce

September 15, 2026 8:24 AM EDT

Salesforce announced AIforce at its annual Dreamforce conference, describing it as a live interface layer designed to bring Salesforce data, workflows, business logic, and governance to external AI platforms and tools.

The product aims to allow employees and AI agents to access and interact with Salesforce content — including records, permissions, and business rules — from within third-party applications without opening the Salesforce platform directly.

AIforce is launching with three initial integrations: Claudeforce, which connects Salesforce to Anthropic's Claude platform; Slackforce, which brings Salesforce context into Slack conversations and workflows; and Agentforce Coworker, an AI assistant embedded within the existing Salesforce Lightning interface.

Claudeforce includes a prebuilt MCP server inside Claude with 37 sales skills and is currently available in beta. Salesforce said the integration has been piloted by Deloitte, GitLab, and Legora. Slackforce introduces features including Slackforce Surfaces for live data views, an updated Slackbot assistant, Slack CRM, and Slack Code for collaborative AI development. Agentforce Coworker, which Salesforce said was activated by 100,000 users within its first 35 days, is available immediately to existing customers.

"AI is creating an interface revolution," said Marc Benioff, Chair and CEO of Salesforce. "We are combining model intelligence with all the context that customers have built into Salesforce to create an intelligent, dynamic, composable system that is securely governed, built with Zero Data Retention, and designed to work with the core systems that already run your business."

Salesforce stated that AIforce operates within existing customer permission structures and that business data used to respond to queries is not retained by the model provider, a feature the company refers to as Zero Data Retention.

According to the company's press release, Salesforce's global developer community has built 12 million apps and generates 9.6 billion API calls daily. Salesforce trades on the New York Stock Exchange as NYSE: CRM.
