September 15, 2026 8:01 AM EDT

Ooma, Inc. (NYSE: OOMA) has introduced StarDial, a home phone product designed for use with Starlink internet connections, targeting consumers in rural, remote, and off-grid locations, according to a company press release.

The StarDial package includes a base station and cordless HD handset. When connected to Starlink's Wi-Fi, it provides unlimited nationwide calling with no additional charge beyond applicable taxes and fees. The device carries a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $129.99 and is available now through Ooma's website.

Standard features include HD voice, caller ID, call waiting, voicemail, address-based 911 service, and the ability for most customers to retain their existing phone number. An optional Ooma Premier Service plan, priced at $9.99 per month plus taxes and fees, adds unlimited calling throughout North America, call blocking, voicemail-to-email forwarding, and an instant second line.

Ooma states setup takes approximately 15 minutes without professional installation. The company notes StarDial is not affiliated with or endorsed by SpaceX or Starlink, which is a trademark of Space Exploration Technologies Corp.

"Millions of consumers now rely on Starlink to stay connected in places that can be difficult to reach with traditional internet and cellular service, and they deserve a simple and affordable home phone option," said Jim Gustke, senior vice president of marketing at Ooma.

Beyond primary residences, Ooma says the product can be used in cabins, vacation homes, RVs, campers, vans, and liveaboard boats with Starlink connectivity.
