NielsenIQ (NYSE: NIQ) announced the expansion of its Homescan consumer panels in Singapore and Hong Kong, increasing the number of categories available for monthly analysis by 85% in Singapore and 64% in Hong Kong, according to a company press release.
The expanded panels are designed to provide broader shopper coverage, improved demographic representation, enhanced coding coverage, stronger retailer-level insights, and greater category and brand visibility across both markets.
Ramon Melgarejo, NIQ President of Global E-commerce, said: "By strengthening our Homescan panels in Singapore and Hong Kong, we are giving brands and retailers a clearer view of who is driving growth, where shoppers are moving and why their behavior is changing."
The expanded panels integrate with NIQ Discover, the company's cloud-based platform, allowing clients to connect shopper behavior data with retail sales performance. NIQ said additional gains in panel coverage are expected as the panels mature throughout the year.
The enhancements are intended to serve manufacturers, retailers, shopper marketing teams, and consumer insights professionals operating in both markets.
