HP unveils two new OmniBook laptops powered by Nvidia RTX Spark

HP Inc. (NYSE: HPQ) announced two new laptops, the HP OmniBook Ultra 16 and the HP OmniBook X 14, both powered by Nvidia RTX Spark and running Windows. The company also shared additional details about an upcoming HP OmniDesk desktop. The announcements were made in Berlin on Sept. 4, 2026.

The OmniBook Ultra 16 features a 16-inch 3K OLED display with VESA DisplayHDR True Black 1000 certification, quad speakers, and configurations with up to 128 GB of unified memory and up to 1 petaflop FP4 AI performance. HP states the laptop offers up to 17 hours of battery life and can recharge to 50% in approximately 30 minutes using the included adapter. The device includes a 99 Wh battery and uses what HP describes as a tower hinge and trunk architecture designed to manage heat during sustained workloads.

The OmniBook X 14 is positioned as a thinner and lighter option, featuring an OLED display also carrying VESA DisplayHDR True Black 1000 certification. HP states it offers up to 15 hours of battery life and supports fast charging via a 140W USB-C GaN adapter, reaching 50% charge in approximately 30 minutes.

Both laptops are claimed by HP to be among the world's thinnest RTX Spark laptops in their respective display size categories, based on HP's internal analysis of publicly available information as of June 2026. The OmniBook Ultra 16 has a rear height of 15.73 mm, while the OmniBook X 14 measures 13.53 mm.

The HP OmniDesk, also powered by RTX Spark, is described as a compact desktop designed for AI computing tasks. HP said further details on features and availability will be shared at a later date.

Both laptops are expected to be available in fall 2026. The OmniBook Ultra 16 will be sold through HP.com and Best Buy, while the OmniBook X 14 will be available through HP.com and other retailers. Pricing for all three devices has not yet been announced.
