CrowdStrike (NASDAQ: CRWD) announced an expanded partnership with OpenAI to extend enterprise security to Codex agents and integrate OpenAI's GPT-5.6 Cyber model into the Falcon platform, according to a press release issued at the Fal.Con 2026 conference in Las Vegas.
Under the agreement, CrowdStrike's Falcon Guardian product will provide runtime monitoring and controls for Codex agents. The solution is designed to give organizations visibility into agent activity, detect unauthorized behavior, and respond to threats across endpoint, SaaS, cloud, and browser environments.
Falcon Guardian capabilities include a live inventory of Codex agents running across an enterprise, real-time telemetry, detection and response functions, and enforcement of governance policies at runtime.
GPT-5.6 Cyber will initially be deployed through CrowdStrike's Frontier AI Readiness and Resilience service, with planned expansion across the Falcon platform. CrowdStrike says the integration combines adversary intelligence, threat modeling, exploit validation, and workflow orchestration to produce security assessments for defenders.
"Securing the agentic era means controlling the AI agents organizations depend on, and harnessing frontier AI to assess and act on risk at machine speed," said Daniel Bernard, Chief Business Officer at CrowdStrike.
"Status quo security is no longer enough, but AI gives defenders a real opportunity to become fundamentally stronger," said Greg Brockman, President and Co-founder of OpenAI.
