KKR hires two managing directors to expand European credit unit

KKR (NYSE: KKR) has appointed Jonty Edwards and Paula Weisshuber as Managing Directors in its Credit & Markets business, according to a company statement. Both joined the firm in 2026.
Edwards, based in London, joins from J.P. Morgan, where he served as a Managing Director in mergers and acquisitions. He will focus on delivering capital solutions to UK and European businesses. Edwards previously qualified as a chartered tax accountant with Deloitte and studied engineering at Durham University.
Weisshuber, based in Frankfurt, joins from Bank of America, where she spent nearly two decades in the capital markets division, most recently as Head of EMEA Corporate Debt Capital Markets. She will focus on expanding KKR's coverage across the DACH region — Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. She holds a diploma in Business Administration from Berlin School of Economics and Law.
KKR's global credit platform managed approximately $293 billion in assets as of June 30, 2026, across private and leveraged credit strategies.
