Garmin (NYSE: GRMN) has introduced the JL Audio M200 series of marine speakers and subwoofers, expanding its existing JL Audio M-series lineup. The products are available now, according to a company press release.
The M200 series includes speakers in 6.5- and 7.7-inch sizes and a 10-inch subwoofer. The speakers feature a 1-inch edge-driven silk dome tweeter with a neodymium magnet and handle up to 60 watts RMS. The subwoofer is built with an injection molded polypropylene cone and rubber surround, with 250 watts RMS power handling.
All models include RGB LED lighting, allowing users to select from a range of colors. When paired with a Garmin Spectra or Garmin Lumishore light control module, sold separately, users can manage lighting through a compatible chartplotter or the ActiveCaptain app. White and gray grille options are available for both speakers and subwoofers.
The series is constructed from marine-grade materials with corrosion-resistant connections, designed to withstand salt and sun exposure. Standard cutout sizing is intended to allow retrofitting into existing installations.
Susan Lyman, Garmin Vice President of Global Consumer Sales and Marketing, said the M200 series offers "a powerful onboard audio solution with crystal-clear sound, modern styling and customizable lighting – all at an exceptional value."
Suggested retail prices range from $199.99 to $349.99.
