Kohl's (NYSE: KSS) has appointed Ryan M. Waymire as Chief Merchandising Officer, effective September 28, the company announced. Waymire will report to CEO Michael J. Bender.
Waymire brings 25 years of retail experience, having held roles at Walmart, Amazon, Target, Wayfair, and FabFitFun. He most recently served as SVP of Fashion at Walmart U.S. Prior to that, he was GM and Brand President for BirchLane at Wayfair and SVP of Merchandising and Brand Partnerships at FabFitFun. He also managed apparel and brand partnerships at Amazon and spent nearly a decade at Target in buying, sourcing, and merchandising roles. Waymire holds an MBA from Saint Louis University.
In his new role, Waymire will oversee Kohl's merchandise strategy and all related functions, including buying, omnichannel merchandising, product design and development, allocation and planning, sourcing, and product portfolio strategy.
Waymire replaces Nick Jones, who has served as Kohl's Chief Merchandising Officer since 2023. CEO Bender acknowledged Jones's contributions in a statement included in the announcement.
