Faraday Future outlines robotics factory and production timeline

August 27, 2026 6:00 AM EDT

Faraday Future Intelligent Electric Inc. (NASDAQ: FFAI) held a business partner conference at its Los Angeles headquarters, announcing a three-phase execution roadmap for its "Built in USA" robotics program, according to a company press release.

The company said it targets bringing a robotics factory online by the end of 2026 and having its first new embodied AI (EAI) device roll off the production line in February 2027. By the fourth quarter of 2028, the company aims to achieve "Made in USA" status for its EAI devices and select components.

Faraday Future identified two products selected for the program: the Next Futurist, a full-size humanoid robot designed for research, industrial, and inspection use cases, and the Next Aegis, a quadruped robot targeting education, inspection, and security applications.

The company said it plans to invest no less than $5 billion in the United States over the next ten years and launch three to five new robotics products annually in the country. It is opening nationwide recruitment for distributor partners, industry solution partners, AI partners, and data partners.

Faraday Future reported cumulative robot shipments exceeding 400 units and a positive contribution margin through the first half of the year. Its robot-sharing subsidiary platform, RoboShare, secured a one-year rental order valued at $33,000 and is expanding its partner network across North America.

The company has established education partnerships with two California school districts — Lynwood Unified and El Segundo Unified — covering approximately 22 K–12 schools. A second business partner conference is scheduled for September 28.

The company's forward-looking statements carry significant risk factors, including its ability to continue as a going concern, reliance on Chinese manufacturers for all robotics products, and competition from companies with greater resources.
