Keysight EDA software cuts AttoTude IC design cycles by 50%

Keysight Technologies (NYSE: KEYS) announced that AttoTude Inc., a designer of application-specific integrated circuits for AI and hyperscale data center applications, has expanded its use of Keysight EDA software to manage its full IC design workflow, reducing design cycles by more than 50%.

According to a company press release, AttoTude has cut its design cycles to under six weeks using Keysight's Advanced Design System (ADS) platform, while achieving first-pass silicon success across RF, sub-THz, and THz tape-outs.

AttoTude designs integrated circuits supporting per-lane data rates of 200G, 400G, and 800G. The company uses Keysight's design data management software to maintain version control across its design environment, enabling engineers to track designs at every stage. System-level scenario planning allows the team to evaluate design trade-offs before committing to silicon.

Richard Chan, ASIC Architect and Development Leader at AttoTude, said: "Developing an ASICs over Dielectric interconnect platform that spans signaling frequencies from 100 GHz to 3 THz requires an exceptional level of design accuracy and simulation fidelity. Gartner forecasts global semiconductor revenue to exceed $1.3 trillion in 2026, with AI semiconductors expected to account for 30% of that total.
