Trex Company names Brian J. Taylor as its first chief commercial officer

Trex Company (NYSE: TREX) has appointed Brian J. Taylor as its first Chief Commercial Officer, a newly created position in which he will oversee sales, marketing, and information technology, according to a company statement.
Taylor joins Trex from PoolCorp, where he served as Vice President of Sales for North America, leading commercial strategy across a multi-billion-dollar business that included sales transformation, pricing optimization, and digital sales platforms.
Before PoolCorp, Taylor spent 24 years at The Sherwin-Williams Company, holding several senior roles including Senior Vice President of Global Marketing & Sales for the company's $6.8 billion Performance Coatings Group, and Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Sherwin-Williams' North American Paint Stores Group, which supported an $11.2 billion commercial organization.
Taylor holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing Management from Sacred Heart University and an MBA from Pace University's Lubin School of Business.

Trex, based in Winchester, Va., describes itself as a manufacturer of wood-alternative decking and railing products, selling through more than 6,700 retail outlets across six continents.
