CACI International Inc (NYSE: CACI) has opened a Manufacturing Center of Excellence for Defense Electronics in the Rochester, New York, area, according to a company press release.
The 61,000-square-foot facility represents an increase of more than 300% in CACI's manufacturing space. The center will support development, testing, assembly, and delivery of electronic warfare technologies, including the Terrestrial Layer System Brigade Combat Team Manpack (TLS BCT Manpack) program for the U.S. Army.
The facility will also handle production, training, customer acceptance testing, and onsite storage for the TLS BCT Manpack program. CACI said the program supports small business suppliers across Upstate New York.
"This ribbon cutting reflects CACI's long-term commitment to Rochester and to delivering the advanced technologies our customers need to win in increasingly contested environments," said John Mengucci, CACI President and Chief Executive Officer.
Chris Monoski, CACI Executive Vice President of Manufacturing, said Rochester was selected due to its talent pool, capabilities, and community partnerships.
CACI employs approximately 27,000 people and is a member of the Fortune 500, the Russell 1000 Index, and the S&P MidCap 400 Index.
