SEALSQ partners with Palm Technologies for India quantum security

August 18, 2026 8:31 AM EDT

SEALSQ Corp (NASDAQ: LAES) and Palm Technologies Private Limited announced a strategic partnership to integrate SEALSQ's QS7001 hardware-security technology into Palm Technologies' PalmPay biometric-authentication products, according to a press release dated Aug. 18, 2026.

Under the agreement, SEALSQ will provide its QS7001 quantum-resistant secure element technology and technical support, while Palm Technologies will lead product architecture, biometric-system design, firmware, application development, system integration, local compliance and deployment in India.

The initial focus is the integration of the QS7001 into Palm Technologies' MetPalm V1 product, designed for metro and toll payment applications. Palm Technologies intends to extend the same approach to its Palm-M merchant payment terminal and its OrbitQops product line, which covers robotics, drones and UAVs, electric vehicles, satellites, networks and IoT devices.

The collaboration targets several Indian market verticals, including payments, defense communications, transit, drones, electric vehicles and robotics. SEALSQ's QS7001 is a hardware security microcontroller optimized for post-quantum cryptographic algorithms including Kyber and Dilithium.

Each party retains ownership of its respective pre-existing intellectual property. The partnership does not transfer ownership of Palm Technologies' existing product designs, architectures, software, firmware or biometric systems to SEALSQ.

Carlos Moreira, Chief Executive Officer of SEALSQ, said the collaboration represents "an important commercial design-in opportunity for SEALSQ in one of the world's most rapidly expanding digital-infrastructure markets."

Mayur Sunil Anecha, Chief Visionary Officer of Palm Technologies, said the company's role is to "turn SEALSQ's QS7001 from a proven secure element into products in the field," starting with MetPalm for transit and Palm-M for merchant payments.

Palm Technologies is based in Ahilyanagar, Maharashtra, India. SEALSQ is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland.
